Can you identify who visited your website by name, email, title, and company?

Excitement is running high at the annual SuiteCloud conference sponsored by NetSuite taking place this week in San Francisco. I am excited to be here because LeadForce1 has successfully integrated with NetSuite’s cloud computing platform.  And LeadForce1 is a featured application at the event and on NetSuite’s portal.  Lots of buzz here about cloud-based CRM and marketing automation…not that they are new concepts…but that they are achieving mainstream adoption.  There are several reasons why…Let us begin with ease of use.  No shrink-wrapped software to buy, no dedicated server necessary to load it on, no specialized in-house IT support required, easy access for all users.  That immediately translates into cost savings, as well as a faster time to deploy the solution.

Then there is the elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about: Marketing department ROI.  But the latest downturn has made quantifying marketing ROI a basic requirement in more and more businesses.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing if you are doing your job well as a VP or director of marketing.  But you still need the tools to be able to prove your ROI.  You will need to do more than just show monthly Google web analytics reports…and that’s where the right marketing automation solution can bridge the gap between web analytics and CRM, and provide marketing teams with information necessary to refine campaigns and achieve greater (and measureable) success.
